GRETA GLEISSNER IS A NEW YORK city based Psychotherapist specializing in eating disorders. In recovery herself, her first book, Something Spectacular: The True Story of a Rockette’s Battle with Bulimia, is a raw, personal chronicle of the devastating effects bulimia exacted upon her personal and professional life during her time as a Radio City Rockette. Greta has been featured on HLN’s “Showbiz Tonight,” CNN, FOX News, and in publications such as XO Jane, Fox News Health, The New York Post, Huffington Post, Dance Spirit Magazine, and The Advocate.
Greta received her Masters in Social Work degree from New York University. Greta maintains a private practice in NYC, is an adjunct instructor at New York University, and facilitates the EDTNY Alumni Group. Greta is the co-founder of Clinical Recovery Specialists, an in-home eating disorder concierge service that provides supplemental recovery support to clients in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Greta has dedicated her life to the field of eating disorders and uses her experience as a platform to instill hope in those who are struggling that full recovery is possible!
